If you are looking for something less painful than a visit to the Paramus Post Office, perhaps you might consider attempting to cross the interstate on your hands & knees, at nighttime, during a rain storm, on a heavy traffic day, while dressed all in dark colors & blindfolded . Chances are your interstate crossing experience would probably result in a more favorable & less painful outcome.
The worst experience. The female clerk at the window was extremely nasty!!!! Not only did she have an attitude she actually yelled at me. Where's the post master when you need him or her. Very dissatisfied with the lack of professionalisn on their part.. On a scale of 1-10 ten being the highest I rate a -20. Appalling behavior on their part!!!!!!!!!
My call was answered regarding a package that got mis-shipped to this office. I was told my package was there, but that it was waiting to be picked up by a truck. It was scheduled to be delivered today, and is a time sensitive package. They would not let me come and pick it up myself (something I'd have no problem doing given the situation). Two stars because the person who answered was at least nice, but ultimately I should be allowed to pick up my own mail (that I paid shipping for!)
Unfortunately, I have found out through experience that you cannot blame the PPO workers as they are only following the example set by the postmaster of this location. Should one day you lose all logic & reason and think that you should escalate any question or issue to a supervisor or postmaster, ... OH BOY !!!, ... then we certainly have a treat for you. Mrs Hector may very well be the nastiest & most unprofessional person that I have ever had the displeasure to meet. Mrs hector is setting the example for her workers to follow.
If for some reason you would like to encounter the laziest people on earth, who consistently deflect all of their job responsibilities, who first actions are to blame everyone else (usually you) for any questions or problems, then this is definitely a place for you.
Lost package using the 24 hour drop box. Called and the women who answered the phone was nasty. She did transfer me to someone that was nicer. They are going to pull up footage to see if I actually dropped off the package. Making me feel like I was lying about dropping off the package. I have a tracking number but never scanned at post office, so package was dropped off and then vanished.
These folks are absolutely the worst people ever!!!
These folks at the Paramus Post Office drive the awful stereotype of rude & lazy postal work right into the ground. If you don't believe me; perhaps read the other reviews that have been posted? There are many reviews that describe awful & unprofessional treatment plus a whole bunch of reviews of internal theft of packages. If my review and the other customer reviews are not enough for you; then I would suggest stopping by for a visit to experience the hostility for yourself.
Should you ever be silly enough to ask them a question, please know that the Paramus Post Office SOP is to scream at the customer. It does not matter what your question is; you shall be told that you are wrong. Don't worry, they will certainly tell you, sorry, I mean yell at you. On my last visit to this den of hell-workers I personally watched them scream at 3 out of the 5 customers that were in line in front of me. 1 was an elderly woman who just wanted some stamps and much to the robust anger of the counter worker, this little old lady just couldn't get the change out of her purse quickly enough. The whole pace gasped in awe at the rudeness of the action. Another customer threw a $20 on the counter and told the postal worker 'how would you like someone to talk to your Grandma that way?' OMG, these folks are really a classless act.
I'm giving this a one star because I cant give it a zero! This post office has the worst service ever! I always receive my packages from every other carrier service with out a problem. However, they've made it so difficult to receive a package from a wholesaler that always sends packages to my address. I go to their office to pick up my package after supposedly 3 attempts they made, and speak to the manager there (Ms. Hector) and I tell her that the mail carrier never attempted to deliver my package because my business is always open, and I mean doors wide open, we're retail shop and we all know that in retail your door must be open as a welcoming to customers. She then begins to tell me that she will not help me if I don't stop insinuating that the mail carrier never showed up. I then tell her but it's true, he never came and she turned away and said "That's it, I'm sending your package back, now figure out how you'll get it now yourself". I've never been so uncomfortable in a place of business in my life. As a person who has been in the customer service field for 20 years, these post office employees should definitely take a CS class before they are put behind a counter to serve the public. Soooooo unprofessional! Zero, zero, zero! Needs A LOT of improvement.
